Future classrooms with mobile apps for learning

Classrooms of the future. Will mobile apps be used as classrooms for online learning

Digitization has overpowered nearly every sector. Whether it is about booking a cab for a ride or scheduling an appointment for spa and wellness, you will find an app for everything. Mobile apps have found a place in the reading industry, the gaming sector, the online streaming channels, travel-tourism, mCommerce, and a lot more.

These are concepts that have been launched years ago and already flourished. So, why this piece?

This article isn’t about the conventional forms of mobile apps but is focused on a new entry as mLearning.

Yes, mobile learning, and this is not related to the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) but real-time classroom learning.

What is Mobile Learning?

The educational industry is fast-growing, thanks to the inscription of technology to impart training and knowledge to students in real-time.

Considering the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, all of the educational institutions have been forced to shut their operations for an indefinite time. This, even though necessary, isn’t the right thing to do. Halting all the educational undertakings for straight four months would cause massive disruption and hence, educational institutions have come up with a solution in the form of mobile learning.

This way they can continue educating students while abiding by the norms of social distancing.

Mobile Learning is a modern form of teaching where apps are used to conduct live classes on a single go. A teacher along with a number of students connected via a mobile app is the future of classroom-based online learning.

How Mobile Apps Simplify Classroom Training

Ease of Access

One of the best benefits of employing mobile apps in classroom learning is the ease offered by it to impart knowledge and educate students. Often, it so happens that students get stuck somewhere and are unable to reach the educational institutions on time. In such a situation, mobile apps give them the flexibility to switch to mLearning.

Exposure to Comprehensive Education

The biggest problem with classroom learning is the time restriction. If a student has to attend college or school, they are bound to do it on time. If by chance, they happen to miss the class, they have to opt for personal learning. However, with the inception of mobile apps, students have the ease to learn as per their own convenience.

Also, students have the freedom to learn at their own pace without being burdened or pressurized. This helps them study better and get good grades.

Interactive Learning Experience

Another benefit of facilitating learning via mobile apps is to promote live Interactions between the student and the teacher. It is seen that online classroom training comes along with live sessions, interactive classes, and Q/A sessions. This allows students to get into one-to-one communication with the teachers and get better insights on learning.  Moreover, these apps have specific features that allow teachers to track the progress of students and guide them better.

Conclusion

Gone are the days when students had to travel miles to reach their colleges or schooling institutions. Today, all you need to have is strong and stable internet connectivity. A steady connection allows students to seamlessly connect to virtual classrooms and start learning on the go. So, yes mobile apps are all set to be the future of classroom-based training.
